Voices

Two voices share a room that was never built for both of them. One moves before the question is finished. The other will not move until everyone has spoken. Between them sits every decision that has ever been made badly, or not made at all.

The tension here is not about power. It is about what power owes. The Autocrat believes she is paying a debt to those who cannot wait. The Democrat believes every shortcut is a kind of robbery, even when the thief is right. Neither is lying. That is what makes this difficult to watch.

You will hear two people who agree on almost nothing about method, and possibly everything about stakes. Watch what each one does when the cost of her principle becomes visible. Watch what she does not say.
